Goodbye swing

Today we put away the swing and Bumbo seat. It was bittersweet - very happy to have the space back but sad because it means he is growing up (not so sad about the Bumbo - that was a worthless purchase.)

The swing was one of our "must haves" for the early months. Every morning, he used to swing happily while I ate breakfast. Since turning six months he has used it less and less, and not at all in the past two weeks. A month ago I wouldn't have dreamed of putting it away, but he's way too mobile now and prefers sitting upright to reclining. Very suddenly he's becoming less a baby and more a little boy.
