A little underwhelmed at the lack of singing and jokes...

Happy Easter!

Saturday we went to the Township's Easter egg hunt.  

It was crowded and full of serious egg hunters and their children.  

Conor and one of the THREE eggs he found.

He was not impressed.

Then we went to Nana and Papa's.  The weather was beautiful so we played outside.  

Conor enjoyed the fort...

... and playing soccer with Maggie.

Uncle Brian taught Conor to play t-ball.

Looks like Conor is a southpaw.

Conor and Aunt Katie played with the screen door.

Conor was so tired he slept 12 hours last night without waking, which never happens!  Then today he took a three hour nap.  Today we hung out at home and played with all the cars the Easter bunny brought.

Jumping

Conor has been trying to jump for a while, but only since this past weekend is he really getting any air.

Conor was given not one, but TWO tricycles by our neighbor.

The first one is still a little big and hard to pedal.



That's better! Pedaling still optional.

Discipline, part II, a play by Dada and Conor

INT. DINING ROOM. LATE MORNING.

A toddler climbs on a chair, up onto the table. His father dashes from the next room, removes him from the table, and sits him at the bottom of the stairs.

DADA

Conor, you're in time out for standing on the table.

Do we stand on the table?

CONOR

Yes.

DADA

No, we don't.

Brief pause, and Conor begins to pout.

DADA

Conor, do we stand on the table?

CONOR

(arms out)

Hug!

DADA

Conor, do we stand on the table?

CONOR

Yes...Mama...Hug!

DADA

Conor, do we stand on the table?

CONOR

No...Hug!

Time out ends and Dada gives Conor a hug.

Conor giggles and heads for the table.

21 months (and a few days)

at playgroup, with his black eye :(

Conor turned 21 months old Saturday!

Age 21 months

Weight 28.6lbs

Length 33-34"? Seems like he just grew out of a lot of PJs

Size mostly 2T clothes, size 6 extra wide shoes, size 5 diapers, 3T hats

Hair awesome, per usual

Teeth 2 year molars starting to poke through. Back to strongly disliking brushing (despite a new Cars toothbrush).

Sleeping Doing better in the toddler bed. About 50/50 good sleep/bad sleep, with the occasional totally completely awful night thrown in. However, he's still a great napper, usually taking one 1.5-2 hour nap after lunch.

Eating Drinks from an open cup, obsessed with pancakes ("cakeys") and oranges, loves trail mix (dried cranberries and Kashi cereal)

Movement Nonstop motion, runs and climbs everywhere, getting really good at kicking a ball and shooting a basketball. "Dribbles" by holding the basketball and patting it. Can walk up and down the stairs without help.

Milestones 3 and 4 word sentences ("I want more milk"), roll play (puts teddy bear to bed and "reads" him a story)

Outings Baby Association meeting, swimming lessons, library

Favorite toys/activities Books (favorites are “Tucker”, “Otis”, and travel guides), music (favorite songs are Disney theme songs (Special Agent Oso, Fish Hooks and Jungle Junction ("Jungle Jungle")) and the Fire Truck Song) anything transportation related (especially buses and fire trucks), teepee, play kitchen, swimming, basketball hoop, trains, Legos, coloring

Words/sounds very conversational; can name all the people in his family book; new words include woodpecker ("pecker"), otter, cereal, Mickey, animals, farmer, owl, ostrich, tractor
