Big Boy Bed

Conor is sleeping in his crib now at night. Tonight is the third night. He seems to do as well as he did in the bassinet in our room. The first night was rough for me but last night was much better. I love the smile on his face when I go in to get him up in the mornings - so sweet!

Halloween Costume

Part one of Conor's Halloween costume:

Is it too ambitious to think I can sew feathers on to a onesie for the rest of the costume??? We might end up with a plain brown romper!

2 months old!

Happy 2 month birthday Conor! Here's a monthly questionnaire to keep track of our baby's first year:

2 month appointment

Conor had his 2 month appointment and shots yesterday. He weighed 13 lbs 3 oz and was 24 in. long, and his head was 16 1/2 in (90% percentile for each). He did very well with his shots - he cried for about 10 seconds, then went back to sleep. I think one of the shots must have been a happy shot because he has been in a great mood ever since! He was really sleepy yesterday and I was worried he would be cranky today, but he's been very happy and "talkative". I can't believe he'll be 2 months old tomorrow!

What Are THOSE???

Conor found his toes today! He was sitting in my lap staring at them for several minutes. He even grabbed at them a few times. This was the best picture I could get with him a foot in front of me:

That was the bill for Conor's 7 day NICU stay! That doesn't include x-rays and all the other "extras" they've billed separately. Fortunately our share was $0 - thank you insurance!

Ah goo

Conor saw the nurse today for a weight check - we think his Zantac dose might need to be adjusted so the NP wanted to see where his weight is at. He's 12lbs 15oz, up 20 oz. in 21 days - doing great! Size 2 diapers and 6 month onesies are where it's at!

He is really enjoying his play mat - he loves to wiggle and talk to the cow mirror.

He is also grabbing - not reaching for things intentionally but if his hand lands on something he likes he will grab at it and hold on.
