9 Month Well Visit

Conor had his 9 month well visit today. His stats are:

Weight - 21lbs 2oz. (59th percentile)
Length - 29.5in (89th percentile)
Head - 18.75in (90th percentile)

He's developing right on track, and as usual was quite the character.

(For kicks, I plugged his stats into the highly scientific Kid's Height Predictor. Conor is predicted to be 6 feet 0.1 inches tall.)

It's Conorpalooza! Conoroo!! The Conorbury Festival!!!

It occurs to me that although today is the 88th day of the year, my 365 Project stands at 65 photos.

So...

9 Months!!!

Age 9 months

Weight ~21lbs (on our scale)

Length not sure, probably ~29"

Size 9 month tops, 12 month+ pants

Eyes Still blue - guessing they'll stay this way :)

Hair getting VERY long

Teeth 4! The two on top just cut through in the past week.

Sleeping Improving. On a good night, he only wakes up once, around 3, nurses, then right back to sleep. Can put himself to sleep. Naps are pretty good, too.

Eating Breastmilk (trying some dairy again) and some formula (Alimentum), cereal (including quinoa), fruit/veggie purees, finger foods (new ones include sweet potatoes "fries", tofu, scrambled egg yolk, waffles, pita, and cheerios.)

Movement army crawls, still only briefly pushing up on hands and knees at the same time but more purposefully, rolls everywhere

Milestones army crawling, clapping

Outings park, out to eat at several restaurants (loves the highchair and does very well), St. Joe's emergency room :(

Favorite toys/activities swings, walks, reading books (favorite is "15 Animals"), piano, crab, Sophie, rattles, sock monkey, Salvador

Words/sounds Lots of consonants, including (finally) "ma"

Cloth Diapers

Conor spent his first night in a cloth diaper Saturday night. It was a success - no leaks (and no poops either!!!) Prep'ing and washing wasn't as hard as I imagined so we might make the move to part time CDing. (Too bad I just sold the cloth we bought before he was born!)

Brain real estate

The part of my brain that used to be dedicated to such useful functions as remembering to bring my wallet on a shopping trip is now used for memorizing the words to children's books and Fisher Price songs. So embarrassing.

Clapping

Conor has this clapping thing down.

(I love how around 0:43 he tries to eat a clap.)

Another first

First trip to the ER :( Conor has croup again and his breathing was not good overnight. He woke up at 3, tried to eat but was really struggling. A steamy bathroom didn't help too much so we decided to take him in. Of course, by the time we got there he was already much improved. Three hours, a dose of prednisone, and a nap on the gurney later we headed back home.

He's recovering at home today with Daddy Daycare.
